Community Training Facility

The Community Training Facility provides Peer Circuit Rider training to CAC weatherization staff, Department of Commerce and GA inspectors, monitors, and sub-contractors. Various trainings are conducted at the facility including: Lead RRP certifications, ASHRAE 62.2 Ventilation, OSHA 10 certifications, auditor/inspector trainings, SERC training on high efficiency products (tankless HW heaters, Solar PV, electronic mini-split heating systems), combustion safety classes and a variety of insulation classes. The Community Training Facility serves as a satellite facility for the Building Performance Center (BPC). The facility is equipped with video conferencing equipment and has been used for multifaceted purposes such as low-income tax preparations.

Utility Discount Assistance

Disabled adults under age 62 that have a City of Shelton utility bill in their name may be eligible for a discount on their bill if other income qualifications are met. Disabled adults who meet the same qualifications and are customers of Mason County PUD #3 may qualify for a discount on their utility bill. Please contact the CAC office in Mason County at (360) 426-9726  for further information.
