I am writing to thank the entire weatherization team who worked so diligently in order to make our home safer, and so much warmer. We not only can feel the difference, we notice it in our monthly energy bill. We are greatly blessed to have had the opportunity to receive such excellent and truly helpful services. We are ever so grateful! Before you guys came to our rescue, both our boiler and our energy bill had been a complete nightmare. Now we are confident that we can keep our children warm at night. So thanks, each and every one of you who worked so hard in making our project such a success. It has truly made an enormous difference in our lives. We no longer feel guilty about turning the heat on in our home, thanks to your courteous and professional staff. Our family now has peace of mind, and that is priceless! I originally signed paperwork three years ago to have my home weatherized. It was finished this month with the most wonderful results. We have baseboard heaters that we try not to turn on often as cost is outrageous and it never even gets the house warm, just tolerable. We also have a wood stove that we try to use as our main source but the ventilation wasn’t proper and no matter how full we stoked the fire before bed, when we woke up in the middle of the night the fire was always out in the morning leaving the house absolutely freezing to the point of cruelness.

Since Community Action Council has been here this month is the warmest my house have ever been. We not only have wood in the morning after stoking the fire but can let the fire die out pretty early on in hte night and still have a warm house when we wake up. The difference it has made to me and my family is something I can never really say thank you for. It means more than you know and I wanted to let you know what an impact you’ve had on my family’s overall wellbeing and warmth. I just can’t say thank you enough. You will never really know the impact you have made on my family’s life, but I wanted to let you know how important your job is to so many families even if you don’t get a thank-you from all of them. I’m sure they feel the same way. You are changing lives in ways you don’t even know. I know this letter is just words from someone you helped doing your job, but the feeling and protection you’ve given my house will last for years to come. Sincerely, Weatherization Family

Hello, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for this wonderful program for low income citizens. We recently found ourselves low income from a job loss and only part time work, and we went in for PUD assistance but were informed we could have someone help to make our home energy efficient and the air quality to be safe. We met Adam first and he was very nice and explained many things about our home to us. The workers came back in a timely manner and worked on our home for the next couple of days. They were very respectable, we don’t wear shoes in our home, and they happily complied and they were very pleasant and friendly. The work that they did was very well done and we have no complaints.

We thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to have our home made healthy and efficient. This program is excellent and I hope the funding will continue so it will help other low income families like us. With sincere gratitude, Weatherization Family

I have no excuse for being so late writing a thank you for all the hard work you have done to our modular. Thanks doesn’t seem like much, but thanks again for all the young men that came and worked so hard. They were polite and quiet and went about their work. I want to thank the Community Action Weatherization Program for putting in the insulation and other stuff in my house. I can tell and see a big difference in the house. I want to thank you and the guys from the CAC that weatherized my house. I was a locksmith for years in Olympia and since the economic crunch I had lost my job. I was really getting slammed on my monthly power bills. I wasn’t sure if i was going to be able to make ends meet, but since the weatherization my electric bills went down significantly.  The CAC is a needed organization not only because of energy savings in the weatherization program, but also because some people cannot afford the energy bill in the coldest months. I want to thank you for all the wonderful work you have done at my  house. I really can’t thank you enough! Your weatherization program and all the people involved in providing the services were absolutely great and so professional. I would like to say all the employees should be considered very valued employees to the Weatherization Program. Each worker gave the kindest and most helpful service. I have seen in a long time. Each seems to really care about their job, their work and most important helpfulness to us the receiver of the service. All issues were completely explained and where I didn’t understand they took the extra time to make it clear to me so I would understand. Hard to find these days with more concern for the dollar than doing it well and complete. Not only was all work done so very well but they all cleaned up everything leaving no mess of any kind. Most, I want to comment on one of the most important things to me. Although each was working for the weatherization program, they each demonstrated the best attitude, one of being their own business and needed no one to prompt them on to keep working and were impeccable with their time and breaks. I would be pleased to have each of them work for me again and I am pleased you have them all as part of your wonderful team of this great program. I know this is a program for people who in the moment need help, but never did anyone of these great guys make me feel less then. They all treated me with highest level of respect and kindness. This is a very belated thank you, but better late than never! A few months ago I came to your office asking for help with my electricity bill. You processed my application right away, and funds were applied to my account with Lewis County PUD. Thank you very much for your help and for the people who donate to that funding.

Also, and the biggest thanks for all, you asked about my heat service and found out that the heater in my house was not functioning. You told me that there were funds available to repair or replace the heater and game the option to accept the offer. After a few days I decided it was best to ask for the services and you arranged for a company from Rochester to contact me for an estimate. It was great to find out that the heater could be repaired, and the repair was scheduled for the very next day! Since then I’ve had a very cozy house again and I thank you very much for all that was done to get heat in my house again. It’s been working magnificently and the service man did an excellent job. He was very courteous and helpful, and all’s well that has ended well! You are a great group of people!–Energy Client

My family and I would like to thank you and all the people involved who worked on our home in April. The workers were very thorough in checking the windows, doors, and sealing areas, as well as the insulation in the ceilings, crawl spaces and attic areas. They also checked the insulation under our home and the duct work for our furnace. They cleaned and checked our furnace wiring and gave us filters and energy efficient light bulbs. The young men were courteous, kind, and respectful. They took time to explain everything they were doing. The new fan switches for our bathroom are wonderful especially when I don’t have to remind anyone to turn them on or off. My whole family has allergies and it is a great comfort to know we shouldn’t develop a mold problem from improper ventilation. We can already tell the difference in the way the house feels. The living room was always cold in the winter and we could actually feel a breeze at the front of our house. They found two areas in our house that had no insulation at all that should have been insulated. We once again want to thank everyone involved for their generous donations that made this weatherization of our home possible and to once again thank the workers for their time, their efforts, and especially their kindness.–Weatherization Family
